Cornas Chaillot 2019 from Balthazar Franck is an exceptional red wine from the Cornas appellation, located in the northern Rhône valley. Made from the Syrah grape variety, this wine has a beautiful dark red color and complex and powerful aromas. On the nose, we discover notes of black fruits, liquorice, pepper and spices. On the palate, this wine is rich and powerful, with well-present but velvety tannins and a long lingering finish. The vinification in oak barrels gives it notes of woodiness and spices which sublimate its aromatic palette.
