Les Vieilles Vignes de Cornas 2010 by Alain Voge is an exceptional red wine from the Cornas appellation, in the northern Rhône valley. Made mainly from the Syrah grape grown on plots of older vines, this wine has a deep dark red color and complex and powerful aromas. On the nose, we discover notes of ripe black fruit, black pepper, liquorice and cocoa. On the palate, this wine is rich and opulent, with a beautiful tannic structure and a long and persistent finish. The minerality of the region's granitic soil is reflected in the smoky and mineral nuances that one perceives in this wine.
