Jean-Michel Gerin's Côte-Rôtie La Viallière 2017 is an exceptional red wine from the prestigious Côte-Rôtie appellation in the southern Rhône Valley. Made mainly from the Syrah grape variety, this wine has a deep ruby color and complex and rich aromas. On the nose, we discover notes of black fruits, spices, pepper and liquorice, with floral nuances of violet. On the palate, this wine is powerful and generous, with silky tannins and good acidity. The finish is long, persistent and spicy. Its aging in oak barrels gives it a velvety texture, as well as woody and vanilla notes that blend harmoniously into its aromatic palette.
